The fractional integral target dose data shows on average 30% of total integral dose are absorbed in the prostate for I‐125, about 40% for Pd‐103 and 22% for Cs‐131. For fraction of excess energy, the data shows 14% for I‐125, 20% for Pd‐103 and 11% for Cs‐131. Interestingly, for all three isotopes, only about half of the energy absorbed in the prostate is expended to achieve the minimum peripheral dose.
