About the Presenter:
Marco Krengli (MD). Born in Italy in 1957. Married. He attended Medical school in Turin, Italy where graduated in 1982. He obtained postgraduations in Oncology in Pavia (1985), Radiation Oncology in Modena (1989) and Radiology in Turin (1992). In 1995-1996, he did a fellowship at the Department of Radiation Oncology of Massachusetts General Hospital - Harvard Medical School in Boston. From 1996 to 1998 he worked at European Institute of Oncology in Milan. In 1998, he became associate professor and in 2006 full professor of Radiotherapy at University of Piemonte Orientale "Amedeo Avogadro" and Director of the Division of Radiotherapy at the Hospital “Maggiore della Carità" in Novara, Italy. He teaches radiation oncology in several academic courses and is Director of the postgraduation School for Radiotherapy. His main reasearch activities include the management of head and neck and rare tumours, the combined integrated treatments with radiation and chemotherapy and target therapies, the particle therapy by protons and ions and the use of multimodality imaging studies for diagnosis and treatment of various tumour locations.
